NiP are through to the playoffs at DreamHack Masters Marseille after beating mousesports 2-1 (9-16 on Nuke, 16-10 on Overpass and 16-11 on Train). The second series of the day kicked off on MOUZ' map pick, Nuke, with the European mixture securing a quick 3-0 lead as Terrorists. Ninjas in Pyjamas responded well in the first gun rounds to win two in a row, but their opponents regained control of proceedings with a successful Deagle buy. Down 2-6, Ninjas in Pyjamas strung three rounds together without response from MOUZ. Chris "chrisJ" de Jong's men assured themselves of a half-time lead after winning the next two rounds (8-5), but then a great triple-kill from Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg inspired his team to reduce the deficit to a sole round. In the second half, Ninjas in Pyjamas equalized the score with a fast and agressive T-side pistol, but MOUZ immediately countered the Swedes thanks to a Deagle triple-kill from Miikka "suNny" Kemppi. After that, NiP were only able to get back on the board in the 22nd round following a crucial triple-kill from Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, but it was simply too little, too late, for the Swedes to stop mouz from closing out their map pick, 16-9. On Overpass, MOUZ picked up their second pistol of the series, and followed that up with the subsequent anti-eco. In a third-round buy, Ninjas in Pyjamas started to prove why this map was their pick, winning six rounds in a row without much effort. In the ninth round, MOUZ finally got back to winning ways thanks to a 2v3 post-plant clutch from suNny and Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný. From there, the half was nothing but a back-and-forth affair, in which Ninjas in Pyjamas won the final three rounds to switch sides with a 10-5 lead. Fredrik "REZ" Sterner and William "draken" Sundin came up huge in the second half, clutching a 2v4 situation to secure their team's CT pistol. MOUZ won the first gun round, but Ninjas in Pyjamas responded with a three-round streak to hit match-point. The European mixture still found a lifeline by stringing four rounds together, but it was all in vain as GeT_RiGhT sealed the deal with a quad-kill in the 26th round. The decider map, Train, saw MOUZ swiftly grab a 3-0 lead following a chaotic, yet successful, CT pistol. Although Ninjas in Pyjamas responded with a successful gun round, oskar and co. further added to their lead in the next two rounds, 5-1. From that round onward, however, Ninjas in Pyjamas constantly broke through their opponents' defence to go up 7-5. Still, MOUZ managed to win two of the final three rounds to reduce the deficit to a single round by half-time. The Swedes looked set to increase their lead in the second half after winning the last pistol of the series, but MOUZ instantly replied with a near-flawless Deagle play. After building up their economy, Ninjas in Pyjamas won two rounds in a row to get back to the lead, 11-10. Although MOUZ then equalized things off, Ninjas in Pyjamas responded well despite being on a shoddy buy. From that moment, thanks to a very tight defence, the Swedish team went on a five-round winning streak to wrap things up, 16-11, and book their spot in the DreamHack Masters Marseille playoffs.
